After two days at the In The Field symposium, I was woken early on Sunday by a sound that brought to mind two recordings we heard at the event: Swans taking flight, in-close, by Simon Elliot, and children playing in a large courtyard, their sounds affected by the large U-shape of buildings around them, from Peter Cusack. Stoke Newington East Reservoir has swans, and is surrounded on two and a bit sides by buildings.
